29 Week Update

How far along? 29 weeks (The size of a Butternut Squash.  About 17 inches and about 3.1 pounds.)

Total weight gain/loss: +19 lbs(ish.  We lost our scale in the move and I haven't been back to the Dr.)

Maternity clothes:Yep.

Have you told family and friends?  Everybody knows now :)

Have you started to show yet? Yep. My stomach gets into a room approximately three seconds before the rest of me does. So, yes.

Sleep:  Between fighting a head cold and the worst pain in my back I have ever even thought about feeling there is has been very little sleep for me or for sweet Matt.

Best moment this week:For Christmas we gave our parents the 4D Ultrasound pictures and watched the "movie" with all of our family.  Getting to see their faces as they saw her little face (and arms and CUTE little legs!) took the cake for me this week!

Miss Anything? A few weeks ago when I couldn't think of any complaints to type in "Symptoms"  ;)

Movement: I feel her everyday, mostly at night.  Occasionally I will feel her during the day but I am pretty sure it's just because she moves a lot in her sleep like her mom used to when she slept!

Food cravings: Pretty much all food.  I have NO will power!  However, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the little clementine mandarin oranges!  In fact, M wrapped up a 5lb bag of them and gave them to me for Christmas!

Anything making you queasy or sick? Overeating.  Once I get anywhere past hungry I need to stop because there isn't much space these days between 'I'm hungry' and 'I overate and feel sick'. <---- Still that!

Gender prediction: GIRL.  According to the sonogram the Chinese Gender Calender and every single old wives tale was WRONG!  (Refer to my earlier posts!)

Labor Signs: Nope.

Symptoms: The back pain has not let up much and all indications are that it won't for another ten weeks or so.  It is definitely worse when I am sitting so I take A LOT of stand up breaks.  Church is kind of the worse right now because you can't exactly get up and crawl over people just to stand up for a couple of minutes.  The other thing that is killer right now is the heartburn.  Good. Grief.  Last night was the first night in a week that I didn't have to wake up and blow my nose but the stupid heartburn woke me up.  It's a little easier to tolerate now knowing she has a head full of hair ;)

So, between the move, the holidays, the house renovations, etc. I realize that it has been ten weeks since I posted a picture.  I have good news and I have bad news.  The good news is that I finally have a picture.  The bad news is that I don't know where my cute little chalkboard is packed away at, I haven't been able to get dressed and be in the same room with M at home long enough to take a new one so maybe this streaky mirror, messy bathroom counter top, selfie will motivate me to do better next week.  Anyway, in all of it's non-glory here is my picture on the first day of my 30th week!
I still have no idea why all of my pictures are now loading sideways or how to correct it but you get the idea.

28 Week Update

How far along? 28 weeks (The size of a cabbage.  About 17 inches and about 2.9 pounds.)

Total weight gain/loss: +19 lbs

Maternity clothes:Yep.

Have you told family and friends?  Everybody knows now :)

Have you started to show yet? Yep. My stomach gets into a room approximately three seconds before the rest of me does. So, yes.

Sleep:  Between fighting a head cold and the worst pain in my back I have ever even thought about feeling there is has been very little sleep for me or for sweet Matt.

Best moment this week: We got our 4D Ultrasound done.  She is beautiful, of course.  And ridiculously stubborn, surprisingly ;)  Our appointment was at 8:30 so I knew she would be asleep (her routine is pretty regular: she wakes up and moves around from about 10pm-7am and I feel her very little between 7am-10pm) so I drank a Spark about 7:30am hoping to get her to wake up (I have had very little caffeine this pregnancy) and felt NOTHING (besides back pain of course ;) as we were waiting.  When we got in there they started off with a 2D to measure and everything and they were so surprised to see HAIR!  They couldn't get over how much it looks like she has!  I have not stopped thinking about little bows since then :)
Of course, she was asleep so they started shaking my belly and poking and prodding and that stubborn little thing flipped over onto her stomach and turned her face away from the camera.  She stayed like that for over thirty minutes!  Finally she flipped back over and woke up a little but then she wouldn't be still long enough to get a good clear picture of her face.  She didn't give us the image we were looking for but, because she was so stubborn, we got to watcher her for almost an hour and a half!  DEFINITELY the best moment of the week.

Gender prediction: GIRL.  According to the sonogram the Chinese Gender Calender and every single old wives tale was WRONG!  (Refer to my earlier posts!)

Labor Signs: Nope.

Symptoms: Mainly the back pain.  It is not your typical sciatica or lower back pain that usually comes with pregnancy, it's right at my bra strap, the muscles on each side of my spine.  IT has had me laid out on the floor during the day, sleeping with a heating pad and pretty much always in pain although the intensity varies.

27 Week Update

27 Week Update

How far along? 27 weeks (The size of a .  About 16 inches and about 2.5 pounds.)

Total weight gain/loss: +15 lbs

Maternity clothes:Yep. Still living on that dream of regular pants mostly but the rubber bands are getting mighty tight and the belly bands are barely cutting it anymore.

Have you told family and friends?  Everybody knows now :)

Have you started to show yet? Yep. My stomach gets into a room approximately three seconds before the rest of me does. So, yes.

Sleep:  Eh.  As we have been told all along, she is a really active baby but she is definitely most active at night time and boy does she wake her mom up a lot!  Plus this week she found my rib cage and kicked me so hard in the back of my rib cage one night that I woke up thinking someone was stabbing me, it was that intense of a pain.  Add in very constant back pain any time I stay in one position longer than a few minutes and sleep is pretty much a thing of the past but I think I am adjusting well to it ;)

Best moment this week: It's weird but I dreamed about her for the first time the other night.  Well, more correctly, I dreamed for the first time that I actually saw her.  I remember thinking different things about her features and this looked like so and so but, awake, I can't picture what I dreamed she looked like.  Any way, it was an amazing dream and I still smile everytime I think about it.

Miss Anything? Not constantly gaining weight.  I know, I know, I KNOW!  Doesn't mean you love it though and I don't!

Movement: I feel her everyday, almost all the time.  What I read said she should be sleeping 12-14 hours a day but she definitely isn't.  I'm not complaining (right now ;) I LOVE feeling her!  So if you see me sitting around you just smiling the biggest, goofiest smile, it's a good guess that she is kicking away. <---Still that :)

Food cravings: Food.  All the time and a lot of it.

Anything making you queasy or sick? Overeating.  Once I get anywhere past hungry I need to stop because there isn't much space these days between 'I'm hungry' and 'I overate and feel sick'. <---- You guessed it, still that!

Gender prediction: GIRL.  According to the sonogram the Chinese Gender Calender and every single old wives tale was WRONG!  (Refer to my earlier posts!)

Labor Signs: Nope.

Symptoms: All of the pregnancy stereotypes that you always hear about hit at one time this week:  I cry all the time and can't stop, there isn't enough food in the world for me, especially sweets and my back hurts a lot.

How far along? 26 weeks (The size of a cucumber.  Over 15 inches and about 2.3 pounds.)

Total weight gain/loss: +13 lbs

Have you started to show yet? Yep. My stomach gets into a room approximately three seconds before the rest of me does.

Sleep:  Better.

Best moment this week: Seriously, the kid acts like she is trying to kick/punch her way out of my stomach every day.  You can just watch my stomach and see through my clothes at her moving all around.  It is crazy!

Miss Anything? Not constantly gaining weight.  I know, I know, I KNOW!  Doesn't mean you love it though and I don't!

25 Week Update

How far along? 25 weeks (The size of a.  Over 9 inches and over 2 pounds.)

Total weight gain/loss: +11 lbs

Maternity clothes:Yep.  In fact, today is my first day wearing maternity pants.  Thanks to Leigh and Black Friday my maternity wardrobe is starting to look pretty cute!

Have you told family and friends?  Everybody knows now :)

Have you started to show yet? Yep. No denying it now.

Sleep:  Better.

Best moment this week: We painted her room!  We will be repainting it another color but that is another story for another time.  While we were painting and while we were picking out the fabric for her rocking chair (there will be another post on that by itself when it comes in!) it was really real thinking about all the nights I will spend in there with her.  :)

Food cravings: Not really.  It's weird though, I get in my mind that I am going to eat something and if someone changes the menu or restaurant I CAN'T really get into the new place or thing.  Once I have a meal or dnack in my mind, I pretty much don't feel happy about food until I have had it. <--- Still that!

Labor Signs: Nope.

Symptoms: This has actually been one of my better weeks.  I have had some massive heartburn and acid reflux but no complaints other than that!
