Throwback Thursday/ iPhone Dump

I have a really old phone.  In fact, my phone is older than anyone else's I know within 20 years of my age.  I also take a lot of pictures and videos on my old phone.  So...in preparing for Baby Shamrock's arrival I have been trying to delete a lot off of my phone so that there will be plenty of room for pictures of her on my phone.  Louise suggested last night that I just start dumping them a few at a time on my blog.  Since today is Thursday I thought it was the perfect day to do my first installment!  All of these are from that short period of time between when M and I started dating but before we got engaged (about 5 1/2 months)  :)  One day I am going to figure out why and how to fix these pictures upload in so many wrong directions.  Bear with me...

Can you believe how little she was???  And how chunky those cheeks were???  I think this was in February 2011.

This was in March of 2011 and we went up to Birmingham with my sweet in laws and one of them took this picture outside the Cheesecake Factory.

This was at the Faulkner Spring Game (I think March 2011) and poor El fell asleep just like this while we were watching.  She had only met M less than three months (but admittedly, half her life at the time) before but obviously it didn't take her long to warm up to him :)

This was at a Biscuits (our AA team here in town) game with the entire Walker clan.  She was obviously as thrilled to be taking this selfie with us as we were to be taking it with her ;)

I really wish this wasn't upside down mainly because the Baby Cousin has this little outfit hanging in her closet now!  I LOVE it!

Look how little Mo was!!!!!  She is so grown now!  :(

Maybe a better shot of the outfit at the same Biscuits game.

Back story, M and I met in late October 2010, started dating in January 2011 but didn't really "go public" a.k.a. put anything on social media until this trip that we took with M's parents, sister and niece and nephew to Disney.  This is from that trip over the kids Spring Break 2011.

We are such nerds.  Poor Baby Shamrock ;)

37 Week Update

How far along? 37 weeks (The size of a watermelon.  Between 19-22 inches and about 6.1 pounds *exactly 6.1lbs at her sonogram Thursday!*.)

Total weight gain/loss: +29 lbs (Eek!)

Maternity clothes:Yep.

Have you told family and friends?  Everybody knows now :)

Have you started to show yet? Yep.

Sleep:   Still not very good but Saturday night I had an AMAZING night!  I only woke up four times and every time went back to sleep immediately!  Plus, I didn't have to take even one Tums during the night!

Best moment this week:  We had our first weekly appointment Thursday plus we had our last sonogram.  Seeing her is ALWAYS the best moment of the week!  But finding our that my body is getting really close to delivery was a definite second best moment!

Miss Anything?  Ugh.  I think we are entering the kind of miserable time and I miss the not so miserable time.  I'm just rarely comfortable and often very uncomfortable.

Movement: Thankfully she is no longer breech but that means less movement unless you count her constantly with her feet in my rib cage again as movement ;)

Food cravings: The only specific "food" would be Sonic ice!  I love it and want to have it, fresh, at all times!  <----  This is getting even worse if that is possible!

Anything making you queasy or sick? Recently the heartburn is turning back into acid reflux which is pretty sickening.

Gender prediction: GIRL.  If she comes out a boy we probably won't have anything monogrammed wrong (since we CAN NOT agree on a name) but we will have A TON (like a ridiculous amount) of baby girl clothes that have to be returned.

Labor Signs: ****TMI ALERT**** At my first "check" Thursday I was at 0 station
(when your provider tells you about your baby’s station, she is referring to how far down your baby’s head has come into your pelvis. If your baby has dropped, but has not yet settled into your pelvis to begin his or her decent, it is measured in centimeters as a negative station. This negative measurement goes from -3 to -1. Once your baby has settled into your pelvis, but before he starts his descent to the birth canal, it is referred to as a zero (0) station. Once your baby starts heading towards the cervix, it is referred to as a positive station from 1 to 3. During this time it is likely that you will feel an increase of pressure and pain in your pelvic bone and vaginal area.), 1 1/2 cm dilated (As you get closer to delivery the mouth of the cervix opens and widens, allowing your baby to pass through.  This is measured in centimeters. For most of your pregnancy it should be 0 centimeters, opening to 10 centimeters when it’s time deliver.) and  30% effaced (prior to pregnancy and into much of the third trimester your cervix is long and thick.  As labor nears it begins to shorten and thin out.  This action is referred to as effacement.  Effacement is generally measured in percentages by doctors and midwives. When you have an exam your provider will tell you that it is anywhere from 0% (not effaced at all) to 100% (completely effaced and thin).).

Symptoms: Back pain, heartburn and uncomfortableness in my stomach and, of course, the inability to sleep.  And I am really getting to the stage where I am just uncomfortable.<----No change there really.

Gag A Lag!  I do feel this huge but I don't feel like I LOOK this huge until I see the pictures.  Picture Day is QUICKLY becoming one of my most dreaded parts of the week!

36 Week Update

How far along? 36 weeks (The size of a watermelon.  Between 19-22 inches and about 6.5 pounds.)

Total weight gain/loss: +26 lbs

Maternity clothes:Yep.

Have you told family and friends?  Everybody knows now :)

Have you started to show yet? Yep.

Sleep:   Anytime I can go at least two hours consecutive before waking up I call it a win.  I can't remember the last time a night went by that heartburn didn't wake me up at least once.  Blah, blah, blah.

Best moment this week:  Friday night (Valentine's Day) M and I just hung out.  We bought a pizza, girl scout cookies, a bottle of sparkling grape juice and M made chocolate dipped strawberries.  We both put on pajama pants and rented a movie and just relaxed.  We talked about how all things were about change, names, dreams we have for her and for us, etc., etc.  It was just perfect.

Miss Anything?  Well, yeah.  I miss not knowing what is the best flavor of Tums, I miss not having my bladder used as a toy, I miss the time when my ribs didn't feel broken and, good grief, I miss sleep.  So, yeah I miss some stuff.

Movement: She has turned around and is back in a breech position.  Nothing to worry about she has plenty of time to turn and it is a lot more comfortable for her mom for her to be "breech" (horizontal instead of vertical) but it also makes her movements a lot easier to be seen (you know, since they aren't primarily in my bladder and rib cage!).  It's really fun to not only get to feel her so strongly but get to see her too!<----Still!

Food cravings: The only specific "food" would be Sonic ice!  I love it and want to have it, fresh, at all times!  <----  Yep, I still LOVE it!

Anything making you queasy or sick? Heartburn.  Constant heartburn.

Gender prediction: GIRL.  If she comes out a boy we probably won't have anything monogrammed wrong (since we CAN NOT agree on a name) but we will have A TON (like a ridiculous amount) of baby girl clothes that have to be returned.

Labor Signs: I have had four people say in the last five or so days that she looks like she has dropped.  Coincidentally, that is about the same time period that I have started having Braxton Hicks.  Thursday I have a Dr's appointment and she will check me for the first tiem so we will know for sure.

Symptoms: Back pain, heartburn and uncomfortableness in my stomach and, of course, the inability to sleep.  And I am really getting to the stage where I am just uncomfortable.

Guh.  I felt terrible taking this picture so I know it's not great but at least I'm not breathing fire (like I felt like I was) and it's not a dirty mirror selfie.  So, we'll call it a win.

35 Week Update

How far along? 35 weeks (The size of a large cantaloupe.  Between 19-22 inches and about 6 pounds.)

Total weight gain/loss: +24 lbs (Holding strong!  Whoop Whoop for no change!)

Maternity clothes:Yep.

Have you told family and friends?  Everybody knows now :)

Have you started to show yet? Yep.

Sleep:   I wake up a lot and I have some nights that are worse than others but I have only had to lay down for a short nap one day and the added awake time adds in a lot of perfect time for prayers and, Heavens knows, I have a lot to pray about these days!

Best moment this week:  Saturday M and I worked in her room a little.  He put her new bookshelf together and rearranged her furniture and I worked in her closet.  One of the gifts we received that we had registered for was a diaper bag specifically for Matt. He was so cute picking out what he was going to put in it and organizing it just right.  Seriously, Baby Shamrock hit the Daddy jackpot.  She couldn't have done any better and it's well documented that I couldn't have either!
This is a picture of Matt's diaper bag.

Miss Anything? This week I have really missed regular clothes.  I am really over my maternity wardrobe and jeans that won't stay up and the crotch hangs around my knees.

It's really fun to not only get to feel her so strongly but get to see her too!

Food cravings: The only specific "food" would be Sonic ice!  I love it and want to have it, fresh, at all times!  <----  Yep, I still LOVE it!

Anything making you queasy or sick? Occasionally the heartburn makes me a little sick and overeating makes me sick and is really easy to do since it seems like anything over five bites is considered overeating these days.

Gender prediction: GIRL.  If she comes out a boy we probably won't have anything monogrammed wrong (since we CAN NOT agree on a name) but we will have A TON (like a ridiculous amount) of baby girl clothes that have to be returned.

Labor Signs: Nope.  Dr. L says I have most likely been having Braxton Hicks but I haven't felt or realized them if she's right.

Symptoms: Back pain, heartburn and some uncomfortableness in my stomach (as it is REALLY starting to stretch) and, of course, the inability to sleep.  <------ Still all of that.

So many things to say about this picture.  One, I have NO IDEA WHY it is vertical when I save it but then it puts it on here horizontally NOR do I know how to fix it.  Second, good grief this picture.  This is what happens when you have missed more than half the weeks pictures.  This is the first thing in the morning, terrible iphone in the dirty mirror selfie.  Gag.  But you get the point and I would like to think it would motivate me to do better for these last few weeks!

34 Week Update

How far along? 34 weeks (The size of a large cantaloupe.  Between 19-22 inches and about 5.5 pounds.)

Total weight gain/loss: +24 lbs (only gained 2 ounces- SWEET!)

Maternity clothes:Yep.

Have you told family and friends?  Everybody knows now :)

Have you started to show yet? Yep.

Sleep:  Blah.  Bad morning to ask since last night was probably our worst night yet.  My stomach feels very stretchy, making it hard to get comfortable, especially with trying to keep the heating pad on my back.  Plus, it was like an invasion of the bugs last night which freaked me out.  (A tiny green stink bug actually flew in my face about an hour after we went to bed!)  I'm hot, I'm cold, blah, blah, blah.  Who needs sleep right?
Best moment this week:  Ah!  We had out last shower and it was amazing!  There were about 25 people there from all different walks of my life.  My friend Rayla hosted it at her house (with help from my sisters, Spenser and Michelle) and she is one of the best cooks/bakers that I know!  Rayla was one of my teachers at Faulkner my freshman year and soon after that married Greg who is from Dasher and grew up at Georgia Christian and going to Georgia Bible Camp with me, even though he was a few years older ;)  Guest included some friends that work with me at Wilson and Wilson, some friends who are customers of mine, some friends I used to work with at 911, some friends from church and some of Matt's family and Morris family friends.  It started out with everyone reading a blessing prayer over us and it was so nice!  We got some great, amazing gifts and I was literally moved to tears with the out pouring of love towards sweet little Shamrock.

Miss Anything? A good night's sleep.  Being able to take a deep breath.  Not constantly having a foot in my rib cage.  Not living on a diet where Tums is a staple. <----- All that amplified.

Movement: Her movements are SO STRONG but come around less often.  Sunday morning during Bible class she got the hiccups for the first time during the day and Leigh and our friend Kiera got to feel her hiccups and see my stomach bounce :-)

Food cravings: The only specific "food" would be Sonic ice!  I love it and want to have it, fresh, at all times!  <----  Yep, I still LOVE it!

Anything making you queasy or sick? The heartburn is getting pretty intense and pretty steady and it has almost made me sick several times.

Gender prediction: GIRL.  If she comes out a boy we probably won't have anything monogrammed wrong (since we CAN NOT agree on a name) but we will have A TON (like a ridiculous amount) of baby girl clothes that have to be returned.

Labor Signs: Nope.

Symptoms: Back pain, heartburn and some uncomfortableness in my stomach (as it is REALLY starting to stretch) and, of course, the inability to sleep.  <------ Still all of that!
